“This publication provides detailed data tables from CMHC’s Renovation and Home Purchase Survey of Canada’s major markets. The tables present a numerical breakdown of responses to survey questions. Respondents are asked about prior year renovations, planned renovations, homes purchased, homes to be purchased, the type, size, location and price range of homes, as well as motivations, barriers and the preparatory steps they have taken. Information is further classified by demographics, income, family size, tenure and location. The Renovation and Home Purchase survey is an updated and expanded version of the Consumer Intentions to Buy or Renovate a Home Survey which was conducted until 2006.”
